5 Reminders for Sports Parents This Season
Every season brings new challenges, new victories, and new opportunities to grow — for both you and your athlete. Here are five reminders to carry with you.
1. Your Athlete's Identity Is Found in Christ
Before they were an athlete, they were a child of God. Their worth isn't measured by their stats, their playing time, or their scholarship offers. Remind them — and yourself — of this truth daily.
2. Win With Humility. Lose With Grace.
Character is built in both victory and defeat. How we respond to both teaches our athletes more than any game ever could.
3. You Are Their Biggest Influence
Coaches come and go. Teammates change. But you remain. Your words, your presence, and your example matter more than anyone else's.
4. Rest Is Sacred
Burnout is real. Protect rest days. Protect family time. Protect the moments where there's no pressure to perform.
5. This Season Is a Chapter, Not the Whole Story
Whether this season is going amazingly or painfully, it's just one chapter. Keep the long view. God is writing a bigger story.
